The STRIKE⚡️SHAD is a premium and 100% custom swimbait that was designed, prototyped, tested, and perfected in Texas at the Lightning Strike Lures headquarters.
Beginning from a realistic gizzard shad profile, we hand sculpted a master STRIKE⚡️SHAD that closely replicated the bait fish that trophy bass hunt. Complete with 3-dimensional fins, gill plates, and realistic eyes, the STRIKE⚡️SHAD was created to land trophy fish!
This swimbait weighs 3.5 oz and measures almost 8" depending on tail type.
The STRIKE⚡️SHAD is a slow float / slow sink bait that will more or less suspend in the water column in its "stock" condition. After careful testing and prototyping we felt that this configuration gave the owner of a STRIKE⚡️SHAD the most versatility in fishing style, tempo, and water column focus. It will ship standard with size 1 KVD Elite Triple Grip Hooks and "suspend" dots that will allow the owner even more custimization options for sink rate and glide action.
The action of the STRIKE⚡️SHAD is versatile so that you can utilize it in many different scenarios on your body of water. The swimbait can be "slow rolled" back to the boat creating a lazy "s" swim that can bring followers out of brush piles, dock posts, and laydowns. You can use quick reel turns, both 1/2 and 1/4 turns, to create stable and enticing glides back and forth. The bait can almost "about face" on some reel chops, and those motions create huge reaction strikes. One of our favorite techniques with the STRIKE⚡️SHAD is a burn and pause retrieve where the bait is burned for several turns and then allowed to "glide" out to a side. This creates a wide glide that can be combined with some 1/4 and 1/2 reel chops to turn a follower into a biter in a hurry!
We aimed for this bait to be stable, burnable, slow-roll-able, and still have a choppable element to allow for rod twitches and inputs to be utilized.

We have utilized the Crank Wraps HD wraps to further enhance the lifelike look of the STRIKE⚡️SHAD. We custom cut the Crank Wraps to flow with the shape of our swimbait, and then we blend the edges of the wraps in to create a cohesive swimbait that truly mimics gizzard shad, shiners, crappie, and black shad.
We also paint our STRIKE⚡️SHADs in awesome bait fish profiles that mimic baitfish and also have enough drawing power to stand out from other glidebaits. We will work with you to ensure that the color or Crank Wrap pattern that you need to land a trophy makes its way to your tackle box.
The STRIKE⚡️SHAD has two tail options to further customize your trophy hunting glide bait. Option 1 is our "Whisker Tail," which is a brush style tail that has great lifelike movement in the water. Option 2 is our "Razor Cut Silicone Tail," which mimics the anatomical shape of a shad's tail. The silicone is razor cut to provide a live movement in the tail when the bait suspends at the end of a glide.
